Items Discussed
1. We collected 816 food items for Scouting for food.
2. Caroling date is December 11th at 7:00 p.m.
- We will be making Jingle Bell snowman craft for the residents. The cost is $.50 each.
- Boys will make these at the pack meeting on November 27th.
- There is currently 23 residents.
3. Will have food sign-up sheets for pinewood derby at pack meeting.
- Lisa is working on getting a pizza donation for Friday night for the Friday night set-up crew.
Trying to get 2 pizzas donated.
- Sign-up sheet for food will be available at the Nov. 27th pack meeting.
4. Sign-up sheet for Snow Tubbing will be at the pack meeting November 27th
- we have reservation at Ski Roundtop for Jan 15, 2008 from 7-8 p.m. The cub scout is free.
Adults over 5 yrs old are $11.00 each and for 2-4 yrs old they are $5.00 each. The pack will need
to have release forms signed for anyone planning on snow tubbing. Money will be due at the December
pack meeting on the 18th.
5. Pinewood Derby
-Friday set-up will start at 6:00 p.m. Tech inspection, weigh in, and trial run will begin promptly
at 7:00 p.m. Any parent wishing to build a car and race for a $5.00 donation is welcome to participate.
The race winner will split the money 50/50 with the pack.
- Saturday start-up will begin at 8:00 a.m. Racing will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Webelos II - will need to show up by 8:45 a.m. Race will start at 9:00 a.m.
Webelos I - will need to show up by 9:15 a.m. Race will start around 9:30 a.m.
Bears- will need to show up by 9:45 a.m. Race will start at 10:00 a.m.
Wolf - will need to show up at 10:45 a.m. Race will start at 11:00 a.m.
Tiger - will need to show up at 11:45 a.m. Race will start at 12:00 a.m.
Race-off for Den Winners will start at 12:30 p.m.
- We will have a sign-up sheet for kitchen volunteers for Saturday
- Den Winners wishing to go to Districts will need to pay for registration up front. The pack will
reimburse scout's money if they show up and race.
- Trying to get a projector for the pinewood derby so everyone can see the brackets for race time.
- Cubmaster Mike has a wheel diameter gauge and will start bringing this to every den meeting.
- Cubmaster Mike handed out the official rules to den leaders last week. Please see your den leader for a copy.
6. December Pack meeting the top 3 sellers and the top seller of each den that wasn't a top seller will get
a chance to pie the Cubmaster. Prizes will also be handed out for those who sold popcorn.
7. Council is supposed to have the new progress toward ranks in January.
8. Popcorn Money is due November 27th pack meeting.
9. Awards due for December pack meeting are due by 12/7 if anyone has any. This is due to the Scout
store is closing for a couple of weeks since they are becoming a national store.
10. Jen is going to get a list together of any missing registration forms, registration money,
and popcorn buyout money.
11. Klondike Derby for Boy Scouts is February 1, 2, and 3. This is an oppurtunity for the
Webelos I and II to start experiencing boy scout life. The scouts interested would need
to be at Hidden Valley Saturday morning by 8:00 a.m. We are looking at renting a cabin though
for the weekend to get in some family camping. Need to know by November 27th pack meeting so
Dave can reserve the cabin. There are 2 available, Herbert is $165 and holds 24 people and
Whitaker is $205 and holds 32 people. We would need Whitaker. The amount is per person and
it will depend on number of people going. Dave will have meeting with Webelos parents.
- Because of this trip we will need to move Scout Sunday to February 10th. Dave will talk
to Galen to see if this is ok and what our pack can do for the service.
12. Starting with the November 27th pack meeting we will be collecting food items for the
Church's food pantry. They are in need of soups and canned meats. Please bring items
for the pack meetings.
13. Next committee meeting will be December 10th at the church starting at 7:00 p.m.
